"Many sustainability leaders and investors have limited or no hands-on experience with active carbon projects, which creates a gap between investment decisions and on-the-ground realities."
Recapture’s Executive Climate Leadership Immersive is an experiential training program in the Andes designed for sustainability and finance leaders, climate investors, asset managers, and natural resource attorneys to master the complexities of profitable forest carbon projects while adventuring in the Gran Chaco–the second largest forest in South America.
With a strong focus on Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) such as regenerative forestry and agriculture, you’ll learn not only how to implement these projects, but also how to balance financial returns with biodiversity, social impact, and environmental sustainability. Participants will work closely with experts and local communities to understand the unique challenges and opportunities of scaling nature-based solutions.
With over 45,000 hectares of managed conservation finance, agroforestry, and silviculture projects across South America, Recapture has proven success in scaling profitable, nature-based solutions. Our achievements include:
We look forward to welcoming you to the next cohort of Forest Carbon Experts.
Quick answers to questions oftened asked by participants
The cost to participate in the full 7-day immersive climate-smart solutions training program is $6,895 USD per participant. Program cost includes training, lodging, meals and local transportation. Airfare to and from Salta, Argentina is not included in the program cost.
Absolutely. The program is designed primarily as a continuing education opportunity and we encourage participants to seek support from their organizations for training costs.
The program takes place on multiple properties in the Gran Chaco region of Northern Argentina (more specifically Salta Province). Participants should arrive to Salta International Airport (SLA) where you will be met in-person with a warm welcome by one of our program coordinators. In most cases participants will need to connect in Buenos Aires, Argentina or Lima, Peru to reach SLA airport.
Recapture will retire 5 verified, nature-based carbon removal credits (equalling 5 tons of CO₂ removal) for each participant in the program to ensure that any associated emissions from their trip are removed from the atmosphere and stored in belowground biomass.
Turn Sustainability into a Profit Center:Make sustainability a source of revenue, rather than a cost, by learning to integrate profitable, forest carbon projects into your organization’s core strategy.
Reduce Headline Risk in Nature-Based Investments:Learn how to evaluate and mitigate risks that could lead to projects becoming high-profile failures, as seen in recent media reports.
Immediate Application and ROI:Actionable insights that you can take back to your organization and implement immediately.
Itinerary for all seven days of the hands-on program in the Andes.
Enjoy a curated selection of Argentine and native dishes, fresh juices, and a signature cocktail, along with sulfite-free wines from the only fully-off grid solar winery in South America.
Over a light desert, you’ll have an opportunity to identify and clarify the knowledge gaps you want to address during the program. Set clear intentions with guidance from our team and your peers, and get an initial introduction to key concepts that will be explored throughout the week.
By the next morning we’ll have a personalized roadmap for the week ahead, ensuring that your program is structured around specific needs.
